    To receive a refund or credit, you must successfully sign a contract through My Building Broker’s direct facilitation. The treatment of funds then depends on the type of transaction. For established property acquisitions or established house sales, amounts paid will be credited from the fee payable at settlement. For instance, if the buyer uses our buyers agency service for homes under $750,000 with a fee of $6,000, the balance payable at settlement would be $6,000 minus any monies paid to My Building Broker prior to contract. In the case of entering into a contract to build a new home, there are two options: Firstly, a direct credit may be applied to the building contract and itemised as a discount on the builder’s quotation by My Building Broker. Alternatively if the discount isn’t itemised, the client is entitled to a refund for any funds paid to My Building Broker before entering the contract. This refund is payable once the house’s slab is poured, and bank details are provided for the refund.
